Step-by-Step Guide for Perfect Application
Follow these easy instructions to apply your Custom DTF Transfers for vibrant, professional results every time. Whether you’re using a heat press, iron, or Cricut press, our method ensures a flawless finish.
Materials Needed:
- Your Custom DTF Transfer
- Fabric (cotton, polyester, or blends work best)
- Heat Press, Iron, or CricutEasyPress
- Parchment Paper or PTFE Non-stick Sheet
- Heat-Resistant Mat or Surface
Heat Press Method

Step 1: Prep the Fabric
Place the garment on the heat press and preheat it for 5 seconds to remove moisture and wrinkles. -
Step 2: Position the Transfer
Place the DTF transfer on the garment with the design facing down (printed side on the fabric). -
Step 3: Press the Design
1. Set your heat press to 300–325°F.
2. Apply firm pressure for 10–15 seconds. -
Step 4: Cool and Peel
1. Let the transfer cool for 5–10 seconds.
2. Gently peel the film away at a smooth angle. -
Step 5: Cool and Peel
Cover the design with parchment paper and press again for 5 seconds for added durability.
Using an Iron

Heat the Iron
Set the iron to medium-high heat (300–350°F). Ensure steam is turned off. -
Position and Protect
Lay the transfer on the fabric, printed side facing down. Place a parchment sheet or non-stick PTFE sheet over it. -
Press Firmly
Press the iron down for 10–15 seconds in sections. Do not slide the iron—keep it steady for consistent pressure. -
Cool and Peel
Allow to cool slightly, then peel the film gently. Press again with parchment paper for durability.

Prepare Your Setup
Heat the CricutEasyPress to 300–325°F. Place a heat-resistant mat under your fabric. -
Place the Transfer
Position the DTF transfer print side down and cover it with parchment paper. -
Apply Pressure
Press firmly for 10–15 seconds without moving the press. -
Cool and Peel
Let the transfer cool slightly, then peel off the film. Re-press for a few seconds with parchment paper for a long-lasting result.

- Fabric Choice: Use cotton, polyester, or blends for best results. Avoid heat-sensitive materials.
- Pressure: Consistent, firm pressure ensures proper adhesion.
